The Arabella skirt with french seams

Using french seams to fully enclose the raw edge. Sewing PDF pattern. Stitched by Jennie

Rebecca Page has released a new skirt pattern called the Arabella. I love when a pattern comes with options, and this one is full of them. There are four skirt lengths: above knee, knee, midi and maxi length. There are 2 waist band heights, and an optional sash, as well as in seam pockets. It is available in ladies, girls and doll sizes.

I have sewn french seams before, but never while adding in seam pockets. I love the finished look these seams provide, especially with a woven fabric that will fray without finishing the edge. If you have not sewn french seams before, this will be a great pattern for you to learn this wonderful finishing technique.
