I recently found a PDF pattern designer, Toby K patterns, who specializes in patterns for men and boys. I am so excited to have more patterns to sew for my husband. The Berlin Tee comes with short or long sleeves, as well a tank option. Other options include: crew neck, v-neck, thumb hole cuffs, hood (with or without a zipper) and an asymmetrical hem.
The first shirt I made was a crew neck with short sleeves. I love that I was able to blend between sizes to get the perfect fit for him.
Next I made a long sleeve shirt with a hood. I used some black double brushed poly fabric from Knitpop. If you want your husband to support your sewing/fabric habits, then I highly recommend making something out of DBP! I am fortunate that my husband is extremely supportive of me already, but his interest in ordering more fabric has increased after I made him this hoodie!
The hood lining is a great place to add some fun fabric, this is some Marvel knit from Joann’s.
This is a great staple pattern for making shirts for my husband, and I know I will be making a lot more!
